What we collect, why, and who touches it.

TokenLens exists to show you your AI spend, so we try to collect as little else as possible. Here’s the whole picture in plain terms.
What we collect
- Your email — to sign you in (magic link) and send budget alerts.
- The API keys you connect — stored encrypted, used only to read your usage. See Securityfor exactly how they’re protected.
- Your usage data — the numbers we pull from your provider: model names, token counts, dates, and computed cost. This is what powers your dashboard.
- Billing info — when paid plans start, Stripe handles your payment. We see your plan and status; we never see or store your card number.
We do not collect analytics profiles, sell data, or run advertising trackers.
How we use it
- to show your spend dashboard and month-end projection;
- to send the budget alerts you set up;
- to bill you (once paid plans begin) and provide support;
- to keep the service secure and working.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell your data. We use a small set of trusted services (“subprocessors”) to run TokenLens:
- Neon — our database (stores your account and usage data)
- Vercel — hosting
- Resend — sending email (magic links, alerts)
- Stripe — payments (once paid plans begin)
- OpenAI & Anthropic — we call their usage APIs with your key to read your spend
We’ll also disclose data if the law requires it, or to protect the service and its users from abuse.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is active. Delete a connected key and its usage records are removed. Delete your account (or ask us to at hello@token-lens.com) and we remove your account, keys, and usage data.
Your choices
- See your data — it’s all on your dashboard and settings.
- Delete a key, or your whole account, at any time.
- Ask us for a copy or a full deletion by email and we’ll take care of it.
Cookies
We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in. No advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
Changes
If this policy changes meaningfully, we’ll update the date above and email you for material changes.
